Branson, After Dark
Looking for a spot to relax after a long day? Or maybe a joint to live it up with some friends? Branson has plenty of options.
A swinging nightlife may not be the first thing you think of when you consider Branson for your summer vacation, but it certainly shouldn’t be the last thing you think of, either. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing pool-side drink or something a little fancier, there’s a spot for you to continue experiencing the non-musical side of Branson after the sun goes down.
Ernie Biggs Dueling Piano Bar
In the tradition of Chicago-style piano bars, Ernie Biggs features a duo (sometimes more) of bawdy-but-hilarious piano men nightly for your enjoyment. Located on Branson Landing, Ernie Biggs doubles as a lunch spot by day, and the kitchen remains open until 10 p.m. So request your favorite song, grab a ridiculously cheap Long Island, and enjoy your night. 505 Branson Landing Blvd., 417-239-3670, branson.erniebiggs.com
Clear at Level 2
The other brand-spanking-new nightlife destination in Branson is more on the fancy side, and harkens to the glamour of Las Vegas and Southern California. Clear (pictured above), inside the Branson Hilton Convention Center, is sleek and classy. Snuggle up at a table or sit outdoors, at poolside. The Hilton’s equally new dining spot, Level 2 Steakhouse, is nearby, and your room is just upstairs. 200 E. Main St., 417-243-3433, level2steakhouse.com
Time Out Sports Bar
Branson is in the middle of everything, sports-wise. The best spot we found to sit and cheer for your favorite team is Time Out Sports Bar, located on the Highway 76 Strip. If it’s on TV—be it NFL Sunday Ticket or a similar satellite package, you won’t miss it because Time Out will be showing it. A full kitchen (open until 11:30 or so), dart boards, pool tables and a friendly staff cap it off. 1335 W. St. Hwy. 76, 417-337-8463
The Rowdy Beaver
Hey now, Beaver—don’t be so Rowdy! Open since January 15, the Rowdy Beaver is one of Branson’s newest, hottest nightlife destinations. Open until 1 a.m. (midnight on Sunday), they feature live music every night—karaoke night, featuring Reggie, is on Tuesday—and there’s a sizeable dance floor for cutting a rug whenever you feel like it. The Rowdy Beaver is also a full restaurant, serving appetizers until at least 10 p.m. (midnight on weekends). 1810 W. St. Hwy. 76, 417-334-7409, rowdybeaver.com
Outback Pub
Attached to the Outback Steak & Oyster Bar, an Aussie-themed spot that’s a fixture on the 76 Strip, this is a popular spot for locals after a day of work. The menu is exotic—try the alligator tail—and the drinks cold and plentiful (100 beers!). Billiards, NTN, and nightly entertainment, open seven days a week. 1914 W. St. Hwy. 76., 417-334-7003
Club Tabu and Triple Play Sports Bar
This venue double-dips as a dance club and a sports bar, depending on if acts are booked and the sports schedule. Open 4 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Monday through Saturday. 440 Business Hwy. 65 N, 417-334-6535
The Bearded Clam
Located in Kimberling City, 15 minutes or so from Branson, The Bearded Clam’s best feature is a poolside tiki bar, where you can order your favorite beverage and enjoy some live music or just some sun. Open year-round, with live music indoors during winter. 12051 Highway 13, Kimberling City, 417-739-4440, thebeardedclamkimberlingcity.com
