DIANA—The People’s Princess, a major exhibit of royal artifacts, has a new home in Branson. The DIANA experience showcases the life story of one of the most iconic and inspirational figures in recent history. It includes a sampling of the royal dresses Diana chose to auction for charity and hundreds of authentic artifacts relating to her life. The exhibit’s narrative follows Princess Diana’s journey from royal princess to leading humanitarian who traveled the world to bring attention to the causes she supported.
Upon entering the exhibition, guests will view a 15-minute video, which provides initial insight into this historical figure and both the magic and tragic experiences of her life.
A second zone will focus on Diana’s childhood at her Althorp Home. Using professionally curated content, guests will learn about Diana’s ancestral background, early childhood experiences and how her lineage factored into her future relationship with Britain’s Royal Family.
In Zone 3, guests will learn about Diana Spencer, the seemingly perfect choice to be the bride of His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales. Video will play coverage of both the engagement announcement and the royal wedding, which was viewed by more than 750 million people.
In the fourth zone, there is a historical overview of Diana as the Princess of Wales, including her preparation for the role, examples of her official engagement schedule and her interaction with members of the royal family.
Zone 5 focuses on her role as mother to the future King of England. Zone 6 is a historical profile of her royal home, Kensington Palace. Zone 7 documents her style transformation from ingénue to icon of style. Zone 8 chronicles Diana’s ascent to global humanitarian. Zone 9 highlights the life change Diana experienced after she was divorced from the heir to the throne, with Zone 10 chronicling the sudden passing of the Princess with the Kensington Gate flower scene.
The 90-minute self-guided DIANA experience concludes in a museum gift store with select items and products to commemorate a visit to the historical exhibition, including an official 50-page program and a music CD of the exhibition experience, scored and produced by Tim Janis, world-renowned composer.
