Read about Branson in USA Today!
Branson is no stranger to national media exposure (after all, it was a 60 Minutes segment that pushed the early '90s boom over the edge), but today's article on USAToday.com is particularly exciting for a number of reasons.
The gist: Branson is a popular and growing second-homes market, meaning it's a popular holiday or winter (perhaps summer) destination for retiring Boomers, snowbirds and other who don't like to spend the whole year in one place.
The nut of the story: "The shows and attractions draw tourists, but second-home owners come for a host of reasons, including attractive prices, especially for desirable lakefront property, along with what Dan Lennon, vice president of the visitors' bureau, calls "active relaxation." Branson and the nearby Ozarks offer everything from hunting and fishing to biking, hiking and watersports to, most recently, golf, with a spate of high-profile courses, including the oddly named Murder Rock, the first design by PGA Tour player John Daly."

Way to go, Branson!
